Himalaya Yoga Valley Centre is an international yoga education hub, offering top-quality yoga teacher courses, drop-in classes, retreats, and workshops. We cater to both beginners and advanced practitioners at our centers in India and Ireland.
Over the past decade, our team has earned a reputation as leading educators in yoga for teacher trainees and practitioners. Founded by Yogacharya Lalit in Dharamsala in 2002, we now operate centers in Goa and Ireland as well.
Our Yoga Teacher Training and Programs
As a global leader in yoga education, we deliver 200- and 300-hour Yoga Alliance-certified teacher training courses. These intensive, one-month programs are offered at our residential center in Goa and our sister center in Ireland. We also hold retreats and training sessions in various locations worldwide, including Thailand and Portugal. Our Ireland center is a thriving hub for traditional Ashtanga practices and training courses in Europe. These courses allow students to access authentic, traditional teachings from our expert teaching team, led by Yogacharya Lalit.
Our Principles
At the heart of Himalaya Yoga Valley is our core value: “Honor the Source.” We believe yoga is a holistic science that should be practiced through the Eight Limbs of Yoga to achieve balance and well-being. Our philosophy is that yoga should inspire, challenge, and nurture individuals, helping them develop a balanced spiritual and physical practice. This approach has resonated with students from all backgrounds, aged 18 to 80.
We also believe in giving back to the community, supporting organizations like Welfare for Animals in Goa and the Cork Simon Community in Ireland through Seva and fundraising.

Our Standards
Himalaya Yoga Valley is a registered yoga school (RYS 200 & 300) with leading accreditation bodies like the Indian Yoga Association and Yoga Alliance USA. We also hold membership in the World Yoga Council and the International Yoga Federation. These certifications reflect our commitment to high standards in yoga education. We are proud to consistently exceed these standards, which is evident in the international success of our graduates.
Our Team of Yoga Teacher Training Experts
Our success is driven by a strong team of highly skilled and compassionate teachers, managers, and staff. They are dedicated to providing professional and supportive learning experiences. We ensure that our team regularly undertakes training and development to maintain the highest quality of instruction. Yogacharya Lalit, our founder and director, continues to lead and inspire the team with his deep knowledge of traditional yoga teachings.
Yoga Teacher Training Locations
Himalaya Yoga Valley operates in both India and Ireland. Our center in Goa is located at Mandrem Beach, while our sister center in Cork, Ireland, serves as a hub for yoga in Europe. In addition, we host retreats and yoga teacher training in other beautiful locations such as Portugal.
Our Community Work
We believe in the practice of Seva, giving back to our communities through yoga. In Cork, Ireland, we support organizations like the Simon Community and Pieta House through fundraisers like Yoga in the Park. We also provide complimentary yoga classes to volunteers and full-time employees of these organizations. Since 2013, we’ve raised over €75,000 for local community health and well-being programs.
In Goa, we support animal welfare organizations such as International Animal Rescue and Welfare for Animals Goa (WAG), donating yoga mats and raising funds to help care for abandoned and injured animals.
